Preventing ransomware attacks is something every computer user should be aware of but often are not. Compromised servers can result in lost short-term HVMS data at the very minimum, to lost long-term data which can be devastating to a practice. Always have an offsite backup plan in place that runs minimum nightly and educate your users on what ransomware is and how to prevent attacks. Pass this video along to your practice staff to help spread the word about ransomware and prevention tips.
Teamviewer Remote Support Update
You may be familiar with ‘Teamviewer’ as it is the remote support program our HVMS support team uses to access your server or workstations. This is just a friendly reminder to make sure your TeamViewer programs are kept up to date. We use the most current version of Teamviewer for our access needs (Currently TV13), if you have Teamviewer installed on any of your workstations, please ensure you have the update settings configured to automatically update that program to ensure the best level of security. HVMS Software Update
We have just released our next HVMS software update to beta practices, this means shortly it will be available to all HVMS practices. This is a huge update programmatically for HVMS but mostly under the hood maintenance the day to day HVMS user will not notice. Two notable items in this update are:
- HVMS Tablet Replication has been redesigned, for details click here: New Tablet Replication Options and Self-Reinitialize Feature in HVMS Version 2.12
- The HVMS Mobile App has been released to selected beta practices for testing
Once this version has passed beta testing, it will be available to all HVMS practices and we will send out an announcement email with update details to everyone.
Emergency Support Information and Troubleshooting Guide
HVMS after-hours Emergency Support is available outside of our general support hours for situations where your HVMS software is not accessible from your server or any of your workstations. General support hours are from Monday to Friday between 7:00am to 6:00pm CST excluding US Holidays.
