Franklin Equine has been utilizing HVMS as it’s practice management software since the spring of 2010.
Prior to it, we had another veterinary software that was initially equine based but did not offer the specifics that fit this practice. Over time the previous software went more in the direction of small animal and offered very little customer support. I was first introduced to HVMS at the 2009 AAEP national convention. All the components that were demonstrated let me know that this was for us. The pricing, support and software itself were part of my decision making process. Only until it was implemented at FES did I fully realize the true significance of my decision.
With HVMS as our practice management software, we are able to easily tract/transfer inventory, create “pickers” to coincide w/ services/medications to prevent missed entries and revenue, print worksheets for clients, have numerous reports to evaluate various aspects of the practice. The attributes of this software are too numerous to list.I want to stress the excellent level and quality of customer service that is available with HVMS.
From an owner’s perspective, any software creates an “investment vs benefit” question-ability. Not for one second have I regretted choosing HVMS as our practice management software. I would strongly recommend to any practice…whether it is a sole practitioner or multi-vet practice. All the attributes and 8 plus years of satisfaction are my basis for this comment. HVMS has been one of the best business decisions I have made. I encourage any practice that is considering this, but aren’t sure if it’s right for them…please contact me and I will be glad to discuss it with them.
